Dr James Farrell
GP
A native of Co Mayo, Dr Farrell studied Medicine at University College Dublin where he graduated in 2014. After completing his internship at Beaumont Hospital Dublin, he gained additional experience in secondary care medicine in Perth, Australia before returning to Ireland. He completed his specialist GP training via the Ballinasloe training scheme and attained Membership in the Irish College of General Practitioners in 2020. In addition to his core family medicine training, Dr Farrell holds diplomas in musculoskeletal medicine, clinical psychiatry and women’s health.
He is currently undertaking a master’s degree in primary care musculoskeletal medicine and is carrying out research in this field at University College Dublin. Dr Farrell joined Barrowview Medical Practice in 2021.
