Deirdre Walsh
Practice Nurse
Deirdre graduated with a first class honours degree in Nursing from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1999. Following graduation, Deirdre worked for several years on the general medical wards in Beaumont Hospital and in major hospitals in Australia. Following her undergraduate training in Beaumont Hospital, Deirdre completed additional specialist training in fertility medicine.

In 2015, Deirdre expanded her specialist nursing training to include general practice nursing. She has gained professional certificates in the areas of asthma and diabetes education, cervical smear taking, ear irrigation and has also obtained her Irish Family Planning Certificate.

Deirdre joined Barrowview Medical Practice in September 2018. Her areas of special interest are Women’s Health, Health Promotion and Fertility Health. She maintains her continuous professional development with the Irish Practice Nurse Association in Dublin.
